Business Intelligence Engineer (f/m/d)

We're searching for a talented and versatile Business Intelligence Engineer (f/m/d) to join our dynamic team and help us transform raw data into actionable insights!

As a BI engineer (f/m/d), you'll be responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge business intelligence solutions to lay the foundation for data-driven decisions that will bring the growth and success of Travian Games to the next level.

• Develop robust business intelligence solutions and create insightful reports and dashboards to support internal stakeholders in making data-driven decisions
• Participate in the full BI project lifecycle including conception, design, development, testing and production support
• Connect complex data from disparate sources, perform data cleansing and data manipulation operations for ingestion into our BI platform
• Develop and enhance our BI platform for performance, scalability and efficiency
• Support our Player Insights/Analytics Team with analyses on large data sets
• Communicate technical subject matter to non-technical business stakeholders and train business users to use the BI platform

• You have successfully completed a university degree specializing in (business) informatics, mathematics or a comparable analytical training program with a strong quantitative orientation
• You have adequate professional experience in a comparable position
• You have a strong understanding of SQL; you are able to write and understand complex queries, functions and stored procedures
• You are proficient with at least one ETL/data integration tool (e.g Pentaho Data Integration or Apache Hop)
• You are familiar with the core concepts of data lakes, data warehousing, ETL, and columnar database management systems
• You have worked with at least one data visualization tool
• You can leverage analytics to answer questions methodically and provide recommendations and actionable insights (experience in Python or R desired)
• You possess strong quantitative & problem-solving skills
• You have experience working in a cloud computing environment (preferably AWS)
• You are a quick learner, motivated, and enjoy working with new technologies
• You are fluent in English (written and verbal)
