Your Quest

As an experienced Game Artist, you are part of the art team that is working together with other key stakeholders across disciplines to create all project-related assets for Rail Nation.

  • Produce a wide range of ingame illustrations, from small character portraits to elaborate keyart
  • Develop character and environment concept art from blue sky brief to final design
  • Provide assistance in creation of marketing materials and assets
  • Work closely within the team to develop and polish the Look&Feel of the game
  • Create guides and documentations of art relevant topics
  • Design UI- Assets with a strong graphical vision for upcoming features 

Your Skills

  • You have advanced knowledge of industry standard software such as Adobe Photoshop
  • You have strong artistic skills with an expertise in composition, color theory, shape language and stylization
  • You have solid drawing fundamentals, along with painting and rendering techniques
  • You are able to adapt the style of the game
  • You have a great sense of environmental storytelling and an eye for details
  • You are skilled in conducting research and providing reference to support idea generation
  • You have strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • You are proactive in communication and collaboration
  • You have proven experience in the video game industry or a very strong portfolio
  • You possess good communication skills in English and German, both verbally and written
German address is a requirement or the willingness to relocate.

Nice to have:
  • Being an avid gamer is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Blender
  • Skills in other Adobe programs like After effects and Illustrator
